ABOUT THE REPORTERS

Robin Gaby Fisher is a news feature writer for The Star-Ledger. She was a Pulitzer Prize finalist for feature writing in 2001 and 2005 and is currently writing a book to be published by Little Brown in June 2008, titled "After the Fire," about the people caught in the January 2000 Seton Hall dormitory blaze.

Judith Lucas covers Superior Court in Union County. She was named Journalist of the Year in 2005 by the Garden State Association of Black Journalists. She has worked for The Star-Ledger for seven years.

Deadly Secrets was reported by Fisher and Lucas, and written by Fisher. In a number of instances, they received assistance from Star-Ledger staff writer Sue Epstein, who wrote about Zarinsky for the newspaper in the 1970s.
