James and Kimberly Sorensen remember their son,
Daniel, at their Westland home. Daniel Sorensen was killed
and beheaded on Nov. 7. "I think he was trying to make me proud. And
I was," James Sorensen now says of his son's struggles throughout
grade school.
James and Kimberly Sorensen comfort each other
April 16 as the verdict against Jean Pierre Orlewicz, 18, of
Plymouth Township was read. Orlewicz was convicted of first-degree
murder in their son's Nov. 7 slaying. Alexander Letkemann, 18, of
Westland pleaded guilty to second-degree murder.
