Ray Elmer Miller was executed at the Nevada State Prison in Carson City on May 8, 1933.

He was convicted of murdering his wife in Las Vegas on December 1, 1932.

Miller was a native of Nebraska, 34 years old and a truck driver.

Miller killed his wife Evelyn after she filed for divorce. She was going to the office of her lawyers in Las Vegas to get a restraining order against her husband because of threats he had made against her life.

As she was climbing the stairs to her lawyers' office, Ray Miller shot his wife twice. He was arrested as he was trying to fix his jammed gun. He plead not guilty but was convicted and executed.
