Theodore W. Gregory was executed at the Nevada State Prison on January 29, 1951. He was convicted of murdering his ex-wife Margaret Tarr in Reno, Nevada on October 8, 1948.

Gregory was a native of Ravenden, Arkansas and was 46 years old at the time of his death. Gregory was a barber whose wife divorced him in Las Vegas.

However they partly reconciled and moved to Reno into the same house. They lived in adjoining rooms. Gregory however became jealous of his ex-wife. He claimed that she was going to take him back.

Margaret Tarr started to see another man while she and Gregory lived together at a boarding house. Gregory warned her about dating somebody else after the promises he thought she had made to him.

Early on the morning of October 8, 1948, he found her with this other man. He told him that he had no quarrel with him, and that man fled the scene. Gregory then shot and killed Margaret Tarr.
