Christine SCHULHOFF |
A babyfaced Courtney Schulhoff was just 16 when
prosecutors say she plotted her father's
murder and
enlisted her 20 year-old boyfriend's help in carrying it
out. Steven Schulhoff,
48, was found beaten to
death in
the family's Altamonte Springs, Fla., apartment
on Feb.
10, 2004.
Courtney met her boyfriend, Michael Morin at this high
school across the street
from a dog-racing track.
At the
time of her father's murder, Courtney had
dropped out of
school and was pursuing her GED.
While he was on probation for stealing his father's car,
Morin would sneak
into Schulhoff's bedroom to sleep.
After Steven Schulhoff's death, Morin's
father told
police, "I lost my son a long time ago."
Courtney Schulhoff and her father lived in an older
apartment complex between
a shopping mall and a highway.
In a taped police interview, Schulhoff says she left her
apartment to walk her dog after 1:30 a.m.
on Feb. 10,
2004. When she returned, a bloody Morin ran outside and
told her, "Problem solved."
Courtney Schulhoff raises a shackled hand as she is sworn in to
give her testimony in the
trial of Michael Morin, Jr., at the Seminole
courthouse in Sanford, April 24, 2007.
